The always saucy Smexy Books had a great post about her favorite books of 2010 so far, and I have to say, a lot of excellent books made her list!
That got me thinking about what my top ten of 2010 so far would be, and, after some thinking, this is what topped my list (in no particular order:)
Masked by Moonlight by Nancy Gideon. I am so ga ga over this book it's not even funny! The second one is out already and you can bet I'll be picking it up ASAP. Read the What Book is That? review.
Eternal Hunter by Cynthia Eden. This is a great start a series, and again, the second book just came out and I will definitely be reading it. As an added bonus, you can read this book FOR FREE on Kindle or using one of the Kindle apps until 7/5! Download here! Read the What Book is That? review.
Sanctuary by Moira Rogers. I am now a convert to Moira Rogers. I love shifter stories and the Red Rock series is one of my new favorites! Although this is the print version of the first two stories, I highly recommend all the stories in the series. Please, do yourself a favor and start from the beginning! Soulless by Gail Carriger. I'm so in love with this series. I freely admit that I'm waiting until the third book, Blameless, is released, just so I can have a marathon and read all three back to back. Yeah, I'm going there. Read the What Book is That? review.
Enemy Lover by Karin Harlow. This is my favorite debut PNR so far! As if that weren't enough, don't forget to go check out my interview with the author and enter the INTERNATIONAL giveaway for a totally sweet latte much which, I don't mind telling you, I wish I could have for myself. The Splendor Falls by Rosemary Clement-Moore. This one is going to be hard to beat for my favorite YA novel of 2010, although there has definitely been some tough competition. The lush prose and the unique narrative voice totally sucked me in. Read the What Book is That? review.
Branded by Fire Riley and Mercy have yet to be dethroned as my favorite couple in the Psy-Changeling series, but two more novels and a short story in the Psy-Changeling series are all coming out this year. Am I excited? Yes yes yes! Read the What Book is That? review.
Blaze of Memory by Nalini Singh. This one got an A+ in my book, and yes, that does mean that two books from the same series are on my list! What can I say, this series is one of my favorites- the IAD gang had better watch out! Read the What Book is That? review.
Tinker by Wen Spencer. This was an unexpected hit for me- I definitely anticipated liking the book but didn't really think I'd love it as much as I did. I have the second book in the series Wolf Who Rules, on my TBR pile now and should definitely do something about that. Read the What Book is That? review.
Veracity by Laura Bynum. Easily my favorite dystopian novel of the year so far; if you're a fan of the genre then definitely check this one out. Read the What Book is That? review.
I'm really lucky- these were just the first ten awesome books I've read this year that came to mind- there were many, many more!
What's made your list so far this year? What are you looking forward to reading?
