Give the Gift of Reading- To YOURSELF!

bookshelf spectrum, revisited

Giving the gift of reading isn't just a nice thing to do for others, you know!  To commemorate this adventure, I'm offering a $25.00 gift certificate to the online bookseller of your choice to one lucky person who leaves a comment here during the month of October!

Yes, for commenting and helping a great cause (remember, every comment left here during the month of October generates $.05 to be donated to the Room to Read Girls' Education Program,) you have the chance to win an excellent prize for yourself!

Rules are as follows:

-Contest is open to anyone worldwide, providing I can purchase a gift certificate online to a bookseller that ships to your location.
-The bookseller you choose can be a brick and mortar store, an online venue like Amazon or Book Depository, or it can be an ebook retailer as well.  Any bookseller is eligible as long as I can buy the gift certificate online.
-Every comment you leave counts as one entry in the giveaway! Please make sure you either leave your email address in your comments or that your email address is visible on your profile, otherwise I will have no way to let you know you won!
-Comments/entries will be tracked in a spreadsheet and a winner will be chosen via random.org.  The more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win!
-Contest ends on October 31, 2010 at 11:59 pm EST.

Great idea! Tracking it on an excel seems hard - are you manually entering each comment?

@Deepali So far that's what I'm doing, but if the number of comments really goes sky high (and I certainly hope it does) I'll definitely have to try a different approach. So far so good though!

Thank you for stopping by. I always enjoy the bold colors here. I was just noting that "you are a reader all the time. I find myself resenting events when I can't read. The Ipad is great because you can pretend that you are taking notes at a meeting but really be deep in a novel.

Its amazing that the comments will help with donations.

Thanks for organizing this and for opening it up to worldwide entries.

I must say the bookcase in the background is fantastic with its colour co-ordinated sorting.

I couldn't do that with mine !

I wish I could be bothered to group my books by colour like that picture, it looks so great :) It's probably for the best that I leave them roughly grouped by subject though, I guess! Thank you for this awesome giveaway and for supporting such a worthy cause.
