50 words or less: For Viking wolf shifter Conall Viga-Feilan, seeing Miki Kendrick was love at first sight. For Miki, it was a command to run as fast as possible in the opposite direction.  Good thing dogs (or wolves) like to play chase...

Book the second in the Magnus Pack series is every bit as raunchy and hilarious as the first. Miki is one of those female leads that's easy to relate to at the same time that she leaves you shaking your head in disbelief, and Conall is laid back and easy going when he needs to be, and ferocious and decisive when he needs to be too.

Miki is one of those friends that everyone seems to have at some point in life.  She's incredibly intelligent, a total smart aleck, loyal to a fault, overcoming a tough but character-building childhood, but yet is still kind of drifting through life with no anchor.  Conall, on the other hand, is incredibly anchored because of his work with the Pack, has a strong sense of family even if it's a strong sense of disgust, at least when it comes to his biological family, and uses his reputation as a snuggle bear to score big time with women, never letting on that he's a Viking and a conqueror in every sense of the word.  When these two are thrown together as Miki prepares to defend her doctoral dissertation, the sparks fly, much to Conall's delight and Miki's chagrin.

This is another fun story to cheer you up after a bummer of a day.  If you enjoy a sassy romance between a guy who knows how to be patient and a gal who knows how to cuss with the best of them, you're in for a really fun story here.  I also enjoyed getting to know some of the other characters a little bit better and to see how they all deal with the fun surprise at the end, which just goes to show you- it only takes once, people!  This story might be my favorite of the Magnus Pack stories, although picking an absolute favorite would be hard, hard work indeed.
