AAD Author Spotlight: Theresa Meyers!

What's this? A double shot of AAD Author Spotlight? That is indeed the case, as I'm shooting to have all my currently-responded author features done and posted before the lucky con-goers descend on New Orleans August 8-12th!

Today's featured author is Theresa Meyers!  The Five Question Quiz is on tap, as always:

1. Introduce yourself, Twitter style! Describe yourself or your books in 140 characters or less.
Former book publicist, multi-pubbed novelist, national speaker, avid reader, Creative Badass, writing paranormals, historical romance, steampunk and YA.

2. Tell us a little bit about your latest release, or your upcoming projects if you'd prefer.

My two latest books out this year are the third book my paranormal romance Sons of Midnight mini-series for Harlequin Nocturne, titled The Half-Breed Vampire. Slade Donovan has a secret that not even he knows. But when his vampire world collides with that of the Wenatchee Were Pack, he discovers the key that both unlocks his past, and makes him a security risk to the Cascade Clan vampires. My other book, The Slayer, is the second book in my steampunk romance Legend Chronicles trilogy. It follows the eldest brother, Winchester Jackson as he attempts to help a vampire contessa recover a stolen piece of the Book of Legend from Russian werewolves, dark fae, European Hunters and dangerous demons.

3. What books (your own or others) do you recommend most often?
I adore reading Yasmine Galenorn's Otherworld series about three sisters. They are wonderful stories with very unusual heroes! I also love Cherry Adair and James Rollins' books for their fast-paced action and adventure. The historical romances on my keeper shelf include Julia Quinn and Arnette Lamb. If you like dark fae, you might be intrigued by my Shadow Sisters series from Entangled Publishing that started with the novella Shadowlander. It's much more fantasy, taking place in the fae realm.

4. What part of Authors After Dark 2012 are you looking forward to the most?
Hanging out with people who love books! (Well, and visiting New Orleans again. They have the best little restaurants--oh, but that's part of my guided tour, so really, I shouldn't be giving that away just yet...)

5. If you've been to AAD before, do you have any advice for first time attendees?
Make sure you carry around water. You'll need it. Bring costumes. You'll have more fun. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Don't be afraid to just start up a conversation or get down on the dance floor. Everyone at AAD loves books so you'll have lots to talk about and fun hanging out!
